What LemonAid Means to Me

Hello! My name is Hannah and I live on the 700 block of Bonnie Brae. I’m 13, and an incoming freshman at OPRF High School. I play tennis and do theatre. This year at LemonAid, I am the Kid chair for the communications committee. I am so looking forward to LemonAid 2014! Over the years, LemonAid has taught me a lot about charity and community. It has been a part of my September for as long as I can remember. As I got older, I started to go to more meetings, have more responsibilities, and learn more about how LemonAid happens.

It amazes me how much work goes into LemonAid yearly! It seems overwhelming at first, but on the day of the stand everything we put in is so worth it. I think my favorite part about LemonAid is that no matter how old you are, you can be involved and make a difference. When I was in elementary school, I used to wear my LemonAid shirt to school all September and tell all of my friends to come if they could. I loved the feeling of being a part of something so important! The day of the stand became a day I looked forward to yearly, and a day I still look forward to now. I hope all of you are looking forward to it too!
